With practice, many people learn not to over-tax their bodies, but to simply keep the body alignment each posture requires as they move toward the pose. Yoga is not about going further or bending and stretching the farthest. Yoga is a Hindu method of learning that makes use of exercises, breathing sequences and meditation. to experience enlightenment, to connect to God, and to understand your personal mind/body connection. As an exercise, yoga often practiced by some simply as an aid to healthy living.
In short, yoga is for anyone interested in improving the health of their body, alleviate stress, or simply exercise. Anything more that is gained is up to you.more

If you are feeling incomplete, at this time, write down your passions, reflect on them, and notice that one will stir an overriding desire within you. This is most likely your dharma. When we leave this life, it is gratifying to know that we helped people along the way, as this also gives us a deeper sense of purpose.
Getting back to teaching Yoga - there are many excuses to avoid becoming a Yoga teacher, but when you feel the calling, all you have to do is share the gift of Yoga with others to find out if that is your purpose in life.

It should be noted that people will also pay to listen to an eloquent public speaker. Each person, who envisions teaching a Yoga class, primarily as a demonstration of his or her physical feats, is missing the opportunity to help students become the best they can be.
Teaching your students to attain self-mastery can only be achieved through effective communication skills. Class time is specifically reserved for student needs. A Yoga instructor should always be a shining example of how to put one's ego aside.

Yoga Teachers Lead by Example (Part 3)
...ou want to encourage your more advanced Yoga students to become independent creators of their own practice. It is nice to be needed, but your Yoga students will grow if they are allowed to be innovators. You can always show them the safest methods to keep them on the right track, but you do not want your advanced Yoga students to feel dependent on your existence.
To draw a small comparison: A pair of adult eagles takes wonderful care of their chick, but someday, that chick will grow to be as large as its parents. The solution is to encourage their offspring to fly and become independent. You know, you will not be around forever, so encourage your Yoga students to keep the practice evolving.<...more
